An actual conversation during a business lunch.
S K (MD of a company) : Lets go to Gandhi Bazaar (about 4 KM) for lunch
Raghu (Auditor) : Why waste time just for lunch.(it takes nearly 30 min in India to travel this distance one way!) Lets go to Mc Donald which is within walking distance.for a quick bite.
S K : "just for lunch?" Well we are after all the working only for this stomach.
Raghu : Eating for the sake of eating is ok once in a while. But to be "living just to eat" can not be the aim of life.
"Quality" of a person shows up in such casual remarks.It builds up in one's work too. When this person is Top Management then it gets into the culture of the organisation. But ISO 9001 Certification is never denied to such an org.
Quality is searching the meaning of life and living it.
