# 039 Incorporating correction feature when consumer makes an inadvertent mistake

While travelling in a lift in a hotel in Doha recently, I pressed wrong floor number. Realising immediately the mistake I was fiddling around with the buttons available to find out to correct the mistake not really expecting to find a solution. But I was surprised that an accident push on the side of the button of wrong floor, the signal got cancelled ! I discovered this feature to cancel the floor number incidentally and found out to be a built in design feature. But there is no way to know that this feature is available in the lift. I didn't note the manufacturer's name. Ever since I am looking for this feature in other makes of lifts in vain.

I wish all manufacturers incorporate this in their lifts too. It can save lot of time for the guests and also unnecessary travel by the lift and consequential power !!
