Bangalore`s bore well water is full of killer Toxins and Pathogens
The environmental abuse by the
citizens of Bangalore has resulted in the high contamination of underground
water which is beyond repair and the Bangalore bore well water is not fit for
human use at all, forget about drinking. What we face today is a major threat that
of our own making.
The lakes, abundant in Bangalore,
were the main source of water supply to the old city. 219 of these are dead and
some more are in the process of decay and death.
The environmental degradation,
abnormal and unplanned development, excess withdrawal/extraction of underground
water, coupled with population explosion, has put the city`s water supply into
despair. The domestic and industrial discharge containing acids, chemicals and
pathogens which remains untreated gets leached into the ground.
Methemoglobinemia is the primary
disease that strikes people which is a disorder
characterized by the presence of a higher than normal level ofmethemoglobin (ferric
rather than ferrous haemoglobin) in the blood. Nitrates and Fluorides are also equally harmful.
